Freret Hardware

This place is like a magical hobbit hole full of anything and everything you need. But the best part is the staff, who are always going the extra mile to help you tackle whatever project you have. Whether you’re hunting for a hard to find replacement part for a claw foot tub, you need paint, or have a dangling license plate…these are the folks you want to have by your side! Prices are good but the service is priceless.

The absolute best hardware store I’ve ever been to. Never had so much help walking into a store. Also the dishwasher piece worked! Thank you guys so much! Cannot express how glad I am to have come into this store.

This place is a gem in the era of big box stores. A locally owned neighborhood hardware store, all the guys there are super helpful and friendly, if they don't have what you need, they usually know who does.

If you want to support local, go here. I've been shopping at this location for a long time and I've never had a bad experience (even being a pain). The staff are so helpful, friendly, and accommodating, and the owner is wonderful. Long story short, I needed a pane of glass for a window larger than they normally cut. They ordered the glass, which was excellently cut, had it delivered the next morning, and even though I was late picking it up, the owner helped me package it and load it safely in my car. I appreciate the helpfulness and empathy that corporate locations just lack.

I was on a quest to restore several antique brass sconces and the bolt/washer/nut/anchor/cap combo I needed to secure the tops of the fixtures simply didn't exist. The folks at Freret took the time to help me try to figure out a way to make it happen and we eventually cobbled something together that was both super-affordable and works. Hung up the fixtures today and they look amazing! Try to support this store and other small businesses like it in your community whenever you can because being able to walk into a place, get help instantly, and buy small lots of small pieces is a valuable community asset and a disappearing trend. Thanks Freret!!! 😊

Amazing hardware store that feels like I walked into a hardware store from 100 years ago. I loved it! They had so much packed into the space. I had a great time browsing & the workers were so helpful!

This place is so great! Everyone here is so nice and helpful and really go above and beyond. I went because I couldn’t get a bolt unscrewed and was looking for something to unscrew it. They just went ahead and unscrewed it for me it was so sweet!
